Tlie trial was begun in the Supreme Court to-day of Patrick Walsh and Hubert Michael Cox. charged with bookmakiug, Cox being further charged with interfering with tlie working of the telephone in Walsh’s house when the police made a raid on it. Mr. 11. r O’Leary, of Wellington, represented the prisoners, A detective described the finding of betting cards, etc., in the house. AUCKLAND’S FIRST MOTH Major Cowper, flying Auckland's first Moth plane arrived at Blenheim at 12.30 p.m. He left this afternoon for Hawr-ra and Auckland.
