RATANA-FARMER

BUSY HARVESTING SCENES

(Special to THE SUN) WANGANUI, Monday. Ratana has done wonderful agricultural work on his large holding, and is harvesting over 600 acres of wheat and oats. Over a hundred stacks have already been built, with several other paddocks still in stook. Ratana himself is showing a fine example by working hard, and quite a large number of men are engaged in harvesting. Threshing has also been commenced and, so far, results have proved about 50 bushels to the acre. It is stated that Ratana has a Maori Boys’ Agricultural College in view.
