OTAHUHU FIRE BRIGADE

At the last meeting of the Otaliuhu Volunteer Fire Brigade Committee, the resignation of Fireman W. Hughes was accepted with regret.

It was agreed that on account of the faithful duty rendered by Mr. Hughes during his six years’ membership of the brigade, that he be appointed a life member of the brigade.

Mr. Hughes forwarded his resignation on account of injuries received to his ankle while on duty, incapacitating him for further service.
