THAMES VALLEY LODGE

MEETING AT PAEROA The Thames Valley Past Grands’ Lodge, Manchester Unity Independent Order of Oddfellows, held its meeting in the Returned Soldiers’ Club, Paeroa, on Wednesday. Members wore present from Loyal Waihi, Loyal Netherton, Loyal Jubilee, Loyal Waitekauri and Golden Cross Lodges. The District Grand Master, Bro. Walter Gubb, P.G., of Tuakau, was present in his official capacity, and members of the Thames Past Grands’ Lodge were also in attendance as visitors. The president, P.G. Bro. D. Currie, of Waikino, presided, and welcomed the District Grand Master and Thames brethren. The lodge decided to convey the sympathy of the meeting to <P.G. Bro. Charles Bowie, of Te Aroha, in his family bereavement. The main business of the evening, the consideration of lodge remits to district conference in March, received attention. Keen discussion ensued on all matters introduced. Followring the meeting supper was served, and the function was entertained by Bros. Johnson, Whaley and Leach. The next meeting will be held on April 17.
