LIFE-SAVING SOCIETY
HAMILTON MAY FORM BRANCH (From Our Own Correspondent) HAMILTON, Thursday. Efforts are now’ being made to form a local branch of the Royal Life Saving Society. With the number of drowning , fatalities increasing, it becomes almost a public duty to see that such an organisation exists in every tow n where swimming is a pastime. Mr. G. T. Allen, of Hamilton, who is examiner for the society in the South Auckland district, is prepared to call a public meeting with the object of forming a centre here, if sufficient interest is shown. The heads of the Auckland Centre have promised to address any meetings.
