CREDIT BOARD MEETS
ACTIVITIES EXTENDED SUFFICIENT FUNDS IN HAND Press Association WELLINGTON, Friday. The Rural Intermediate Credits Board met this week. The report of the commissioner showed that new associations were being formed at Mataura, in Southland, and at Ruawai, in North Auckland. A further number of dairy companies had requested the board to investigate their financial position, in order that their guarantees might be accepted for loans to suppliers. Twenty co-operative associations have now been formed in all, and the full benefit of the preliminary organisation work should be felt this year. Funds are available to enable the board to meet all claims on it for financial assistance. The excellent season should enable dairy farmers, who have obtained assistance from the board, to repay their instalments without difficulty.
