MORE UNEMPLOYED

TEMPORARY PHASE AT DUNEDIN Press Association DUNEDIN. Tuesday. Perhaps for the reason that' the labour market is suffering from the temporary depression which occurs annually between the shearing and harvesting seasons, there has been a large -influx of new applicants for work at the Government bureau. At the beginning of last week there were 190 names on the unemployed roll, and 160 have since registered. Nineteen additional men have been placed this week on corporation relief work, three have found employment privately, five have been given their fares to other districts, and 49 have allowed their names to lapse. There are now 274 names on the list. Of these men, 160 have dependants.
