MENTAL DEFECTIVES
SETTING UP OF NEW BOARD EARLY ANNOUNCEMENT LIKELY (From Our Resident Reporter.) WELLINGTON, To-day. An early announcement of the personnel of the new board created by the Mental Defectives Act is expected from the Minister of Public Health. The Hon. A. J. Stallworthy is now considering nominations for the various members of the board and for its administrative staff, but there appears to be some difficulty iu filling one or two of tfie positions. However, as the Minister is scheduled to leave Wellington in a little over a week, it is expected that finality will have to be reached very soon if the board is to carry out the intention of the Minister and hold its first meeting this month.
