480 GUESTS AT WEDDING FEAST A feast reminiscent o£ the Arabian Nights was given at the wedding of Mr. Bela Szabo-Papp, an estate owner of Mezokeresztes, Austria, to the daughter of a rich neighbour. The guests numbered 4SO, and the feast, cooked by four cooks and thirty assistants. was served by 100 persons. The viands included a cow weighing five quintos, and two calves weighing SO kilos each, three quintos of pork, half a quinto of carp, 60 geese and 400 fowls. Ten quintos of flour were used for the cooking, and one quipto of sugar, and 1,500 eggs. Fifty litres of coffee were consumed with -00 litres of milk, 700 litres of wine, and 35 litres of liqueurs after which 500 cigars and 5,000 cigarettes were smoked. At the close of the feast 150 silk shawls were distributed among the coachmen and cooks.
