The construction of a new floodgate for the Jubilee drain was completed, and th* outfall of the Te Kauri No. 1 had bee' improved. Two big breaks in the Pfcfcr. River stopbank at Shelly Beach had been repaired. Mr. J. C. Miller reported that the committee would call tenders for the installation of a new floodgate in the Shelly Beach factory outlet on receipt of approval from the Lands Drainage Department. It was decided to ask the Lands Drainage engineer to define a watershed east of the Kerepeehi-Kopuarahi Road, and between the ,Horahia Road and the LoachMcDuff drain for the Ngatea district settlers, who desired to install a pumping scheme, as their lands were floods by water from the surrounding higher country. ,
