TEA-ROOM AT TAURANGA STATION
The Railway Department lias just finished a large building at the railway station for a tea and refreshments room. The building is 100 ft x 20ft. The larger portion is the refreshment room and the balance is the kitchen, pantry and offices. At the invitation of the stationmaster. Air. Guthrie, the executive of the Chamber of Commerce visited the station and were shown over the new buildings. They were met by Air. Smith, general supervisor of the refreshment rooms, and Air. Everden, manager ot the local rooms. After the general inspection of the premises and afternoon tea had been served, the secretary of the chamber, in the absence of the president, thanked the officers for their invitation, and complimented the department upon erecting such a fine building. Reference was made to the courteous manner in which the chamber liad always been met by the various officers of the 'department.
