PRINCE EDWARD
“THE COWBOY KID” Not content with a smashing success in “Wild West Romance,” starring Rex Bell, Fox Films executives seek to repeat with the same star in a series of bigger and better Westerns.. The second of the series is “The Cowboy Kid,” which is now being shown at the Prince Edward Theatre. The story has to do with radio and a mysterious Hindoo, who predicts dire happenings to the peaceful citizens of Spring Ci'eek. The actions of a gang of outlaws, led by Trig Morgan, an undercover agent seeking to wrest the financial leadership from John Grover, the town’s banker, are responsible for one of the best western pictures seen here for some time. Bell is supported by a strong cast, including Mary Jane Temple. “The Magnificent Flirt,” a story of the smart set in Paris, starring Florence Vidor, will also be shown.
