FELL THROUGH TRAP

OLD EMt'LO TEE’S DEATH A fall through a trap-door caused the death of Mr. Thomas Joseph McEnteer, aged 63, a plumber, employed by Mr. George McCaul, a tinsmith, of Wellesley Street Bast. The accident occurred yesterday morning on the premises of JVlr. AlcCaui. Tho injured man lived until late in the afternoon. Mr. Alcbnteer fell through the trap and struck the floor below, injuring the back of his head. He did not become unconscious, but, as he was suffering from shock, the doctor who attended him told him to go home. He was able to walk to the tram by himself and from the tram to his house, but later ho lost consciousness and was taken to a private hospital, where he died. Mr. Meßnteer had been employed by Mi\ McCaul for 45 years, and had served his apprenticeship with him at Thames ana Auckland. He was a married man ana lived at 657 New North Road, Mount Albert.
