TAKAPUNA FETE
FUNDS FOR METHODIST CHURCH To raise funds for the Takapuna Methodist Church a garden fete was held at the residence of Mrs. T. B. ! Arthur, Clifton Road, on Saturday afternoon. The Takapuna Municipal Band was present and gave a long pro- j gramme. Stallholders were:—Novelty stall, Mrs. Billett and helpers; work stall’, ! Mrs. G. B. Hinton and Mrs. Prior; I apron stall, Mrs. Petty produce, Mrs ! G. Sinclair and Mrs. Petty; cakes, Mrs I K. Foreman, Miss M. Collier and Miss i J. Foreman; flowers, Miss M. Cammell and Miss Arthur; sweets, Mrs. Lewis and Mrs. Robinson; afternoon tea, Mrs. Johnston and Mrs. G. Collins, with helpers; refreshments, Miss M. Tremain, Miss Souster, Miss Ellerington, Miss Sinclair, Miss Whitcombe, Miss Arthur, Miss N. Arthur, and Mies P. Hinton; museum, Mr. J. Lewis, Mr. K. Lewis and Mr. C. Tidman; shooting competition, Mr. P. Melville. Winners of the cooking competition were: Miss Sylvia Phillips, Miss S Andrew, Mies K. Souster, Miss Ellerington, Mrs. Sutherford, Miss Davis. Miss Roper, Mrs. Billett, Mrs. J. Roper | Miss J. Winstone, Mrs. G. Collins, Miss ! E. Arthur, Mrs. Hinton, Mrs. Lewis, Mrs. Arthur, sen.
