OCCUPANTS’ HURRIED EXIT (From Our Own Correspondent) HAMILTON, Friday. Fire gutted tlie residence of Mr. J. W. Barr Brown, on tlie Brindale Road, Putaruru, late last night. The occupants. Mr. Barr Brown and Mr. C. P. Oates, music teacher, just succeeded in escaping, the latter seizing some personal belongings as he rushed out. The house contained seven rooms and was insured for £660 in the State Office. There was a policy of £3OO on the furniture in the British Traders’ Office.
