WORK TO BE COMPLETED An offer to complete the Winter Gardens fernery on the same terms as they recently executed the Winter Garden, pergola and pool, in the Domain, was made by the Fletcher Construction Company, Ltd., to the City Council last evening. The firm is prepared to do tlte work without profit, and will give the council the usual trade discount. The company estimates the cost of completion at £ 1,543. and is confident the sum will not be exceeded. To cover draughting and overheard charges the tee would be £IOO instead of the usual charge of Gi per cent, upon the estimated cost of £2,500. The offer was accepted. Tl.c Mayor stated that £I,OOO had been raised by citizens and the balance had been allocated by the council.
