CHANGES IN CABINET APPOINTMENTS ANNOUNCED Press Association WELLINGTON, Wednesday. Consequent upon the resignations of the four defeated Ministers which, were accepted by the Governor-General on Monday, the Prima Minister announced to-day that his Excellency had been pleased to make the following appointments in connection with the vacant portfolios: The Prime Minister, Mr. Coates: Minister of Mines and Minister of Agriculture. The Hon. W. D. Stewart: AttorneyGeneral, Minister of Justice and Minister of Defence. The Hon. J. A. Young: Minister of Industries and Commerce. The Hon. R. A. Wright: Minister of Labour. The Hon. K. S. Williafiis: Minister of Lands and Commissioner of State Forests. In regard to the other departments which were administered by the former Ministers, the Hon. W. D. Stewart will have charge of police, prisons, electoral and war pensions; the Hon. R. A. Wright printing and stationery and pensions, the Hon. K. S. Williams the valuation, land for settlement, discharged soldiers’ settlement and scenery preservation.
