FATE OF WOULD-BE SUICIDE Press Association DANNEVIRKE, To-day. When the Charge of attempted suicide against T. H.' L. Hitchings was called before the magistrate, Mr. E. Miller, S.M., the police stated that accused had been committed to a mental hospital. Sergeant Martin’s application that the charge be withdrawn was granted. Hitchings is alleged to have presented a loaded gun at PoliceSergeant Martin when the latter went to his house in response to a report of accused’s peculiar conduct.
