KAIPAKI’S NEW CHURCH

BUILDING DEDICATED After being used by all denominations for 57 years, the old church at Kaifiaki has been replaced by a modern building, the result of a combined effort o4‘ the settlers in the district. At the dedication service which was carried out by the Rev. J. Hay (Presbyterian), the Revs. Lionel Harvie and C. H. Clarke (Church of England) and the Rev. J. W. Parker (Methodist), there was a large attendance of settlers and visitors from other districts.

As a result of efforts by the Ladies’ Guild and pyblic subscriptions, £ 577 was collected while the church was being erected, and it was suitably furnished free of debt.
