FORTIETH ANNIVERSARY

SUNDAY SCHOOL CELEBRATION The 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Edendale Presbyterian Sunday School was celebrated yesterday, when services were held morning, afternoon and evening. The preachers were the Rev. J. A. Thonson, of St. Luke’s, Remuera, the Rev. F. A. Thompson, of Avondale, and the Rev. W. Gilmour, minister of the church. Special music was given at all services by a large choir of children under the conductorship of Air. G. T. Lee, valuable assistance being given by a string orchestra. There was a large congregation at each service.

The anniversary celebrations will be continued on Sunday next, when visiting Assembly ministers will be the speakers.
