PRINCE EDWARD

“EASY COME, EASY GO” Richard Dix is the star of “Easy Come, Easy Go,” which will be shown this evening at the Prince Edward Theatre. Dix is seen in the role of Parker, an out-of-work clerk, whose life is saved by a bank thief named Bailey. Bailey has just stolen a considerable sum of money, but Parker does not know that, and accompanies him on a. journey mainly to be near his sweetheart, who is the daughter of the bank manager. Bailey attaches himself to the banker’s oarty. and Parker, who has learned of the stolen money, is forced to go along, hoping to recover the money and return it. Parker’s attempts to return the money, the interference of Bailey, and the refusal of the girl’s father to believe his stories of the robbery, provide a long series of humorous situations. “Chicken a la King,” an hilarious comedy, will also be shown. “HUNTINGTOWER” AT BRITANNIA Sir Harry Lauder, the famous Scotch comedian, lends the charm of his presence to nearly every scene of Huntingtower” which will be shown this evening at the Britannia Theatre. “Huntingtower” tells the story of a Scotch grocer who, setting out on a walking tour finds before he finishes, that he is assisting in the rescue of a Russian princess from a secluded castle on the Scottish coast and routing her Bolshevik attackers. He returns home with enough mystery, intrigue, romance and adventure for life. “Thanks for the Buggy Ride,” a merry comedy about the composing of the song, and starring Laura La Plante, will also be shown.

“Adam’s Apple,” the first film made by Monty Banks under his contract with British International Pictures, was shown recently in London. Mr. Banks has already established a reputation as a comedian in Hollywood, and this, his first British film, has been awaited with interest. The cast includes Gillian Dean, Lena Halliday, Judy Kelly and Colin Kenny.
