AT TE AWAMUTU
MR. ROLLESTON’S TRAVELLING DIFFICULTIES
(From Our Own Correspondent) TE AWAMUTU, Saturday. Te Awamutu district has been the centre of the Reform candidate’s operation. Mr. J. C. Rolleston spoke at Ngaronga on Friday. Great difficulty was experienced in getting to this place, the last 12 miles taking over three hours to cover. There was a large attendance of settlers awaiting his arrival. Mr. Rolleston dealt with the difficulties under which the settlers in the district were struggling, and after a very attentive hearing a unanimous vote of thanks and confidence was passed. A large attendance at Pokuru was presided over by Mr. Fear. The candidate dealt with the position of the resent Government. Numerous questions were asked and satisfactorily answered. A vote of thanks and conscience was carried with acclamation.
