BY CAR TO CAPE YORK

NEW ZEALANDERS’ FEAT (United P.A.—By Telegraph Copyright) (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) Reed. 12.30 p.m. SYDNEY, To-day. Two New Zealanders, Hector Macquarrie and Ft. Mathews, have just arrived from Cape York, the northernmost point of Australia. They started from Sydney in a light qar, covering 3,300 miles, of which 700 miles were roadless, in three months. Many of the roads were without bridges and rivers and creeks had to be crossed. Their difficulties in some cases were accentuated through streams being infested with alligators.
