In the semi-final of the Manawatu Golf Club tourney Ekstedt (Manawatu) beat Wagg (Lower Hutt), one up at the 19th hole; Collins (Wairarapa) beat Keeling (Manawatu), three and one. EVERSLIE' CLOSES The official closing of the Evens lie Golf Club took place oil Monday, when the president. Mr. P. J. Parker, presented the trophies won during the season. He congratulated the club on the progress made and wished them greater success sfill next season. The following trophies were presented: Men's senior championship, J. Dykes; junior, E. A. J. Busing; runner-up, senior. I*. Hogan; junior. G. Page; Walker and Hall trophy, four-ball best ball: Senior, P. Hogan; junior, G. Page; acting-cap-tain’s trophy (Mr, C. Wardell), won by T. G. Smith; Lovegrove Shield. Agmen G. Smith; Agmen Smith trophy. R. Lever; Kohn Cup, match handicap, J. O'Neill; closing day trophy, mixed foursomes. Mr. and Mrs. J. Richardson. Ladies’ senior championship, Mrs. R. Lever; runner-up. Miss J. Little; junior championship. Mrs. Lacassie; runner-up, Miss -M- O'Neill; gold medal. Mrs. W.
