TRIP TO MARS!
Man Tells Amazing Story BIG-EARED RACE (United P.A.—By Telegraph — Copyright) (Australian and N.Z. Press Association! Reed. 10.15 a.m. LONDON, Sunday. “Martians can talk to Martians by a visualisation of objects, as easily as you can talk by speech,” Mr. Mansfield Robinson told the “Star.” Moreover, he said he had journeyed to Mars . Mr. Robinson is a psychic investigator, formerly town clerk of Shoreditch. He said: “My etheric body travelled at the speed of light, it was an amazing experience. I saw a huge red globe, to which I approached, holding my guide’s hand.” He claims regular communication with the Martians by a psychomotormet.er, an instrument resembling a slender Maltese Cross balanced on an upright needle designed to measure the vital force linking mind and matter, by which he communicates with his woman guide, “Comaruru.” meaning “Loved One.” He also says that he secured photographs through this medium, including one of Comaruru’s features, which resemble those of an Indian, but with enormous ears, over which the hair is draped for tile purpose of hiding this detriment to beauty. Mr. Robinson adds: “Comaruru is a lovable personality. My experiments are due to her insistence.” HUGE INHABITANTS He asserts that the Martian men average 92 inches in height, and the women 72. The race has the strongest physique, and at least fivefold the energy of human heings. The Martians possess motor-cars and railways. • They electrify fruit trees, enabling fruit resembling the apple to contain all the constituents of nourishment. Three make a day’s meal. RADIO CALL TO PLANET The "Daily Mail” states that, at the request of Mr. Robinson, an attempt to communicate by wireless with Mars will be made on Wednesday, when it will be nearest to the earth. A message will be despatched from the Rugby station on an 18,500 metre wave-length. Post Office engineers will listen-in for a reply on a special receiving set at St. Albans. This will be tuned to a 30,000 metre wave-length, which Mr. Robinson says he believes is used on Mars. Mr. Robinson will hand in a fiveword message to the central radio office, in London, which will cost Is 6d a word. He alleges that he is in telepathic communication with a woman inhabitant of Mars, who has laid down the conditions of the experiment. It is assumed by Mr. Robinson that the Martians understand the wireless process, though not words, and that they will repeat the dots and dashes to the earth.
