Hearst Journalist Arrested in Paris
STATE NEWS DIVULGED NAVAL COMPROMISE LEAKAGE (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) Reed. 12.10 p.m. PARIS, Monday. A surprising development following the leakage of information on the Anglo-French naval compromise occurred to-night when detectives arrested Harold Horan, chief Paris correspondent of the Universal International News Services, which serve the Hearst Press.
Horan was questioned and released. It is at present unknown whether he will be asked to leave the country or charged with making illicit use of confidential documents.
