BIG BILLIARDS MATCH LIVELY PLAY YESTERDAY The start of the second week’s plav in the professional billiards ma:eh yesterday was marked by splendid 'allround play by both I.indrum and McConachv. the New Zealander especially being in fine form. MoConacliy played consistently well, and during the afternoon session scored 919 points to his opponent’s 750. The session scores weer: W. Lindrum: 9.750. Breaks >f 367. 124. 106. C. McConachv. 3.363. Breaks of 122. 104. 160. lie. 125. SPECTATORS ENTHUSIASTIC In the evening session both gave finished displays. The positional play by both was brilliant at times, and the spectators enthusiastically applauded any shot above the ordinary, even for first-class billiards. During the evening session M~Conachy scored 969 to Lindrum’s 751. The session scores were: C. McConnchy: 9.332. Breaks of 275. of 214. 74. 296. $6 unfinished. Average of 93.75. 4 C. McConachv: 9.332. Beaks u' 276. 66. 172. 116. 317. Average of 114.5. Both players gave an exhibition of trick and fancy shots, much o the delight of the spectators.
