RUGBY REFEREES
ANNUAL MEETING HELD About 52 members attended ifie annual meeting of the Auckland Rugby Referees* Association held last evening, Nlr. P. Mackie presiding. The annual report mentioned the highly satisfactory membership of the association, but stressed tf.e fact that still more active members would be an acquisition, as the number of matches for control continued to increase. The weekly discussions on papers prepared by members had proved of considerable benefit and the hope was expressed that these would be continued. Congratulations were extended to Mr. F. E. Sutherland, who had this season controlled two test matches, and to Messrs. Streeton, Sheppard, Peace and Pauli, who had controlled representative matches. The relations between the association and the Auckland Rugby Union had been most cordial throughout the season. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mr. M. Kronfeld; vice-president, Mr. D. V. Moore; treasurer, Mr. G. Peace; executive committee, Messrs. P. Mackie, E. C. Stretton, E. Hudson; examination board, Messrs. A. Pauli, J. F. Potter. E. C. Streeton; representative on the Auck> land Rugby Union, Mr. M. Kronfeld;
