LINDRUM STARTS WELL IN BILLIARDS MATCH

GAME AGAINST McCONACHY Fresh from a series of closely-con-tested games in Australia, W. Lindrum and C. McConachy started their New Zealand tour with a match at Auckland yesterday, playing 750 up in a match of 18,000. Lindrum was in good form, and made short work of the afternoon session, running to points after a little over an hour’s play. His best breaks were 279 and 241. McConachy was unable to get going, his total for the session being 107, best break 50.
