TWO CARS STOLEN

“JOYRIDERS” ACTIVE Two motor-cars were stolen by ‘*joyriders” in Auckland yesterday, one at mid-day and one in the evening. A Whippet sedan, the property of Mr. W. H. Davenport, Empire Road, Epsom, was taken from West Street, Newton, between 7 o’clock and 9 o’clock last evening. The missing car is painted grey, with chocolate facings. It bears' the registered number 8171. At mid-day yesterday a six-cylinder Buick car was taken from outside Mr. W. Jenkins’s house, 82 Grafton Road. The car is a 1923 model and bears the number 14-452. Neither had been recovered at a late hoLir to-day.
