VETERANS’ NEGLECTED GRAVES The graves of the veterans at "Waikaraka Cemetery are sadly in need of attention. This was reported by the Veterans' Home Council at yesterday’s meeting of the Auckland Patriotic Association. The council stated that since May, 1926. it had been in communication with the Department of Internal Affairs regarding the graves and the department had now stated that arrangements were being made to have the veterans’ monument and graves inspected and the necessary, work undertaken as early as possible.
