King’s Wharf station last week. At yesterday’s meeting of the board, the general manager. Mr. R. H. Bartley, stated that coal supplies had been seriously low for two or three da>s. The station had been absorbing about 3,600 tons of coal a week while power supplies for the Waikato were being supplemented, and at one stage it had proved necessary to borrow 100 tons from the railway yards.
