LEADING LOCAL MEN UNABLE TO TRAVEL B TEAM SELECTED Mr. V. R. Meredith has chosen the following team to represent Auckland against Hawke’s Bay at Napier next Saturday:— Fullback: Bush. Threequarters: R. Ilook, Jeffreys, Good-Five-eighths: Cammick Berridge. Halfback: Mason. Rover: Keene. Front Row: Finlayson, Hindenach. Middle Row: Fell, Righton, Fletcher. Back Row: Strange (Thames), Schnauer. Emergencies.—Backs: Stuart, Jamieson. Forward: Brooker. Several of Auckland’s leading players were unable to obtain leave to make the trip. The team will leave for Napier on Wednesday evening at six o’clock. Training will take place to-morrow night. Mr. Russell Cooper, a member of the Management Committee of the Auckland Rugby Union, will accompany the team as manager. WAIKATO V. TARANAKI HOME TEAM CHOSEN (From Our Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, To-day. The Waikato team to play Taranaki at Hamilton on Saturday is:—Fullback, S. Thomas; threequarters, Storey, Quin, Anderson: five-eighths, Tuck (first), Fitzgerald (second); half, Buckingham; rover, Howard or Kay: forwards, Stubbs, C. Cameron. A. Cameron, Courtney, D.
