Council of Women Entertains Delegates From Conference
There was a large attendance of members and visitors at the Lyceum Club rooms this morning when the Australian and New Zealand delegates were welcomed back from the PanPacific conference at a charming little morning tea given by the Council of Women. The rooms were very attractive with their decorations of gay spring flowers and bronze bowls of pussy willow lent a distinctive touch. Aliss B. Carnachan, president of the Auckland branch of the National Council of Women, welcomed the guests and introduced the speakers. Mrs. Reichbeith (Western Australia), Aliss Haegney (Melbourne), and Aliss Chaplin, of Christchurch. Each speaker gave an interesting little address on the various aspects of the Pan-Pacific conference, touching instructively on the main points. Among those present were;—Airs. Moore (Melbourne), Airs. Bryning (Aielbourne), Airs. F. W. Gibson, Aliss Swayne (New South Wales), Aliss Heagney (Aielbourne), Airs. Brito - marte James and Airs. Amos (Alelbourne), Airs. Fraer (New Zealand), Airs. Denton-Leach (Dunedin), Airs. T. E. Taylor (Christchurch), Airs. Osborne, Airs. Dickson (Auckland), Aliss Wilson, Aliss Seaton (Wellington), Mrs. Seideberg (Auckland), Aliss Dutton (Dunedin), Aliss Mercer (Dunedin), Aliss Cole (New Plymouth), Airs. A. D. Campbell (Mayoress), Airs. W. H. Parkes, Airs. Maguire, Aliss Basten, Aliss Alelville, Airs, B. Cadoux, Miss S. E. Jackson, Dr. Buckley Turkington, Dr. Hilda Northcroft, Mrs. Northcroft, Airs. John Cook, Aliss Chaplin (Christchurch).
