Akarana Members Hold 23rd Annual Dance

PRIZES PRESENTED The new clubhouse of the Akarana Yacht Club was the scene of gaiety on Saturday evening on the occasion of the 23rd annual dance and prizegiving of the club. In the ballroom the decorations were extremely novel. From one end of the hall, running the full length and width, Was a huge club pennant in red, white and blue. Potted ferns, shrubs and arum lilies made an effective setting for the vivid frocking of the dancers, while the supper room was brightened with great clusters of ice- ! land poppies and fernery. Mr. A. Wilkinson presented the various trophies and cups. Stacey’s Orchestra provided excellent dance music. Members of the committee present included: Airs. G. E.
