LORD BURGHLEY IS NOW A MAGISTRATE
A T the age of 23, Lord Burgh* A ley, famous British athlete, “wears his blushing honours thick upon him.” All in the space bf a couple of months or so, he became engaged to a daughter of a Duke, won an Olympic championship, and was appointed a magistrate at Peterborough. His fiancee is Lady Mary Douglas-Scott, an accomplished horsewoman, who takes a fence across country with the same facility as Burghley rtmps over the 440yds. hurdles.
