A. D. S. DUNCAN ELIMINATED (United P.A.—By Telegraph — Copyright) Reed. 1.15 p.m. SYDNEY, To-day. The Australian open golf championship eliminating rounds resulted in three players being level for first place-—Spence (Queensland), Sinclair and Popplewell (New South Wales). The last-named was the former Australian champion. All -were 147. Chief among the runners-up are Nettlefold, the Tasmanian champion; Nigel Smith and Herd (New South Wales), Stewart (South Australia), all .148. Only 60 qualified, the concluding stages including- one New Zealander, A. D. S. Duncan (159). K. Duncan failed with 169. The final 18 holes is being played this afternoon.
