MAIN ROAD BLOCKED
SLIP IN AWAKING VALLEY (Special to THE SUN) NEW PLYMOUTH, Friday. The main north road was completely blocked by an extensive slip in the Awakino Valley about 10.45 a.m. today. Car services are disorganised, but it is hoped that cars will be able to get through late this evening or early tomorrow. In the meantime, passengers and mails are being transferred across the slip, and the services are being linked up with cars from Te Kuiti.
