St. Aidan’s Church was the scene yesterday afternoon of the marriage of j Miss Sadie Isobel Walton, only daugh- i ter of Mrs. and the late Mr. George j Lee Walton, of Northumberland, Eng- I land, to Air. Patrick Fielding, Hawkins, j youngest son of Captajn and Airs. Hawkins, of New Plymouth. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. George Coats. The bride was given away by her godfather. Air. Alan Lee. For her wedding gown the bride had chosen, a frock of lace and chenille, the closefitting bodice being of embossed velvet and- the bouffant skirt -of fine silver lace finished with sprays of orange blossom. A draped veil of breton lace was held in place by a wreath of orange blossom, and a shower bouquet of carnations, pink roses, sweet peas and* fresias was carried. Aliss Alary Lee, cousin of the bride, was bridesmaid. Pier frock was of sunkist georgette. A crinoline hat trimmed in gold was worn, and she carried a bouquet of autumn-tinted flowers finished with streamers of gold satin ribbon. * Mr. Jackson attended as best man. A wedding reception was held at the bride’s residence in Ngapuhi Road, Remuera. Pretty decorations were effected with pink sweet peas, and bowls of orange and gold-tinted flowers. The guests were received by Airs. Walton, who was wearing a frock of cornflower blue lace, a blue and gold georgette hat, and carrying a shower bouquet to tone. Airs. Featherstone, of Wellington, the- bride’s aunt, wore a frock of cream lace, and a black picture hat: Aliss Searell (aunt), wore a frock of pale iris mauve crepe de chine, and a mauve hat to tone: Aliss Gladys Searell (aunt) was attired in a frock of cream georgette.
