BIRTHDAY PARTY
A very enjoyable twenty-first birthday party was given by Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Hill to their eldest son Norman, in the Masonic Hall, Eden Terrace, last Saturday night. Three huge hoops were suspended, one below the other, from the centre of the hall, and countless streamers were strung from these to the sides of the hall, the whole giving the appearance of a huge bell. An interesting exhibition of the Yale Blues was given by Mr. and Miss Hunter, assisted by a changing colour spot-light. Leo Sayers’s Seattle Dance Band provided an excellent pro-, gramme of dance music. Among the guests were: Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Hill, Mrs. Searle. sen., Mr. and Mrs. G. Searle, Mr. and Mrs. B. Madden, Air. and Mrs. J. Searle, Misses K. Pauli, K. Hill, E. Harrison, K. Smith, D. Patch, Hunter, S. Appleton, M. and G. Madden, E. Keenan, X. Edgar, M. Tierney, D. Hellawell, M. Searle. Messrs. J. Lloyd, L. Hill, C. Hill, A. Patch, A. Hunter, B. Vowles. F. Madden. Cris. Taylor, F. Hellawell, B. Passan, Stan Mclvor. Mr. G. Searle and Mr. F. Madden were joint M.C.’s.
