BOXING AT KING’S
SOME WILLING BOUTS The annual boxing tournament of King’s College was held in the college gymnasium, Middlemore, on Friday and Saturday evenings, when there was a good attendance of parents, pupils and friends. The bouts were well up to standard, and were willingly contested. Mr. Frank Burns was the referee, and Mr. V. Maxwell the timekeeper. Results: Fly-weight.—Final: Darling, 6st 71b, beat Lewis, 6st 71b. Bantam-weight.—Final: Gillies, 7st 21b, beat Tovey 11., 7st 41b.
