STANDS DESTROYED
BLAZE AT RACECOURSE Press Association. HOKITIKA, To-day. Fire early on Sunday morning completely destroyed the main stand and the stewards’ stand at the Hokitika racecourse. Insurances on the main stand amount to £1,150 on the building and £125 on the contents, and on the stewards’ stand to £SOO on the building and £IOO on the contents. These are held in the Royal Exchange, and the Queensland, Northern and Guardian Companies.
