“BUSH LEAGUER” AT EMPIRE

“The Bush Leaguer,” starring Monte Blue, will be shown at the Empire Theatre this evening.

In ‘The Bush Leaguer” Monte appears as a bowser station tender, who spends his time between customers and the neighbouring vacant section and on Sunday pitches for his home town team. A scout from Los Angeles offers him a job, and seeing a chance to make the proper contacts for the promotion of a benzine pump which he has invented, he accepts. It is not long till he finds that professional baseball must be taken as a serious business, and that not only the future of his invention but his success in love depends upon his playing the game in deadly earnest.

Buck Jones in “Blood Will Tell,” is the second attraction.
