But Gardeners Are Not Fond of Bunny HAVOC AT ALBERT PARK The gardeners In Albert Park have declared war. For the last few weeks a rabbit has taken possession of the flowerbeds and the havoc has been terrible. Tender stocks and carnations, struggling in their infancy for a place in the glory of the park, have disappeared in the night, leaving only their tiny stumps to remind the gardeners of their existence. Bunny arrived from some unknown place a few weeks ago and took up his residence in the most succulent border he could And. From then on his prestige has diminished and now definite hostilities have been declared. AU efforts of a capture have failed. With an impertinent flick of his white tail Bunny has simply bounded off into the borders at the sight of the gentlemen who wield the hoes and the spades and the wheelbarrows. Now tiny fences are being erected round the flowerbeds to protect the tender plants from ravages of the little nuisance. But if Mr. G. Philmore, head gardener, gets within shooting range of that rabbit there will be murder most foul on the green sward of Albert Park. It is thought that the troublesome anmal wandered over from the Domain and having found so much food ready for the taking he has refused to return.
