DANCE PARTY

OPERATIC SOCIETY The second social of the Amateur Operatic Society was held in the club i rooms last evening. The programme j was a bright one, the contributing artists being Miss Eva Simpson, Misses Lynda Murphy, Underwood, Coefield, Messrs. Snell, D. Flood and MacPa vitt, and Miss Nettleton’s ballet. Miss Beryl Net tie ton, frock of ivory taffeta. Miss W. Cook, silver lace and taffeta. Miss D. D’Authreau, blue georgette, silver trimming. Mrs. Hutchinson, oriental crepe de chine. Miss E. Stares, opalescent sequined frock. Miss K. Williamson, blue taffeta and lace. Miss R. Tanner, black panne velvet. Mrs." A. Goodwin, Chantilly lace over pink. Miss M. Bragato, sequined frock of georgette. Miss D. Taylor, silver fi*ock of lace. Miss E. Walker, blue and ecru georgette frock. Miss E. Foote, pink taffeta and net flounces. Miss L. Taylor, opal blue taffeta frock. Miss I. Stubbs, scarlet velvet frock. Miss I. Abdullah, cyclamen georgette. Miss D. Bagnall, black crepe de chine. -Miss Coppins, leaf-green velvet. Miss M. Craig, floral georgette frock. Miss N. Wallace, rose pink georgette. Miss O. Abdullah ,opal blue taffeta. Miss Sawers, oriental chenille frock. Miss Melville, blue lace over taffeta. Mrs. Summers, blush pink taffeta. Miss Jean Naci, white georgette and silver frock. For hands roughened with housework put a sprinkle of sugar on the palm of one hand, pour six drops of vinegar on this, then add a small piece of lard. Rub this well into the hands till all the sugar is dissolved. Then wash them in warm water, dry thoroughly and rub with powdered oatmeal.
