China Demands Withdrawal of All Warships from Her Seas

A COMPLETE withdrawal of foreign gunboats is demanded in a Note which is being drafted by the Nationalist Government and addressed, to Britain, America, Japan, France and Italy. The demand is reported to be based on the present absence of military operations in the interior. Further, the presence of foreign warships in Chinese waters is held to be illegal.
