REWARDS OF MERIT

EXHIBITION AWARDS PRESENTATION OF TROPHIES Trophies won at the Auckland Winter Exhibition were presented at a smoke concert held in the exhibition refreshment room last evening. The Weddell Cup, for the highest grading points in butter for the season, was presented to Mr. F. IP. Walker. who received it on behalf of the Pio Pio factory. The Hardley Shield, for the highest grading points in cheese, was won bjthe Wairnana factory, and presented to the manager, Mr. J. H. Earl. Toasts honoured during the evening were: “Dairy Factory Managers,” “District Courts,” “The Railway Department,” “The Exhibition” and “The Executive.”
