WAIKATO SYNOD

THIRD SESSION OPENS TO-DAY (From Our Oxen Correspondent.) HAMILTON, Sunday. The third session of the first Waikato Diocesan Synod will be opened at Hamilton to-morrow at 7.30 p.m., with evensong at the cathedral. The Rev. G. Gordon Bell, of Auckland, will be the preacher. At 8 a.m. on Tuesday there wall be corporate Communion at the cathedral, and at 9 a.m. the synodsmen will be the guests of Bishop Cherrington at breakfast. Synod will formally open at 2.30 p.m. in St. Peter’s Hall, and thereafter on "Wednesday, Thursday and Friday synod will sit as required A laymen’s conference will be held on Thursday morning and in the afternoon the synodsmen w r ill be guests of the bishop at a garden party at Bishopscourt.
