SCHOOLMASTER INJURED
THROWN FROM MOTOR-CYCLE BOULDER CAUSES ACCIDENT (From Our Own Correspondent.) OPOTIKI, To-day. After playing in the junior representative Rugby match on Saturday, Mr. K. Hayr, schoolmaster at Toatoa, immediately left for Whakatane by motor-cycle. About four o’clock Mr. Hayr was found lying injured on the road by Mr. W. Lambert, about two miles from the town. He immediately conveyed Mr. Hayr to the public hospital in his car, where the injured rider was attended by Dr. Budd. He was found to be suffering from concussion and severe abrasions, and is reported to be making satisfactory progress toward recovery. It appears the rider struck a boulderwhile climbing the Kukumoa Hill, the machine crashing heavily and throwing Mr. Hayr on to the road.
