HEAVY FINE FOR OFFENDER DOUBLE HOUSE ON SINGLE SECTION Breaches of the city building bylaws cost George E. Wheeler, builder, £25 10s in fines at the Magistrate’s Court yesterday. Wheeler was charged with building on a section having less than the minimum frontage; breach of the plumbing by-laws; and erecting a shed without a permit. It was stated that Wheeler had submitted plans for a single dwelling in Remuera, and without giving the council notice, began the erection of a double dwelling. On the first charge he was fined £2O; on the second, £5; and on the third, 10s.
